Slitter Operator - 3rd Shift - Cary

Sunday - Thursday 9:30 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.
The Slitter Operator functions under the direct supervision of the Manufacturing Supervisor. This position is responsible for operating machine to slit continuous lengths of laminated film into specified widths that meet or exceed customer quality specifications.
Set-ups up machine by adjusting blades according to width specified on slitting work order and setting up run speeds.
Loads material as required through machine.
Operates machine and observes flow of material through machine to detect irregular cutting and/or winding.
Moves levers to stop, start, and regulate speed of machine and to align material with rotary blades.
Reports any necessary maintenance of the machine.
Reports any unsafe working conditions to the production supervisor.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work history.
Good verbal & written communication skills.
Ability to read a tape measure in millimeters and inches, blue prints, and drawings.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
