Position Summary
We are seeking a high energy, dynamic and competitive professional with strong sales and business development acumen to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a tenacious self-starter with the ability to see tasks through to completion. Responsible for sales growth and related items to third party manufacturers, outside retail accounts, industrial manufacturers, and suppliers. Provide extensive market analysis and consultative services, recommend and execute action plans to increase sales through the execution of True Value Company s Retail Paint Strategy. Additionally, will act as the key liaison between the customer, merchandizing team, and management at True Value Manufacturing (TVM). This position reports into the Cary, IL facility and may work from the Cary office or remotely. Travel of 80 to 100%
Position Description
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT: Key liaison between the customer, operations team, merchandising team, and management at True Value Manufacturing (TVM)
Develop and implement specific action plans to achieve measured growth of new sales for identified customers through a blend of office-based coordination and in-field visits.
Provide account direction, coordination of priorities, and expert technical knowledge based on Customer Needs Assessments.
Achieve budgeted comp sales growth for same customer sales
Direct the coordinated implementation of paint department upgrades and adoption initiatives.
Direct the implementation of all new product / program adoption initiatives.
Aid in the development of sales collateral to support sales efforts. o Develop effective presentations to enable closing of business opportunities.
SUPPORT AND IMPLEMENTATION:
Gather, compile and interpret market data using the Business Assessment Process, Analyze and compare current customer performance to identify high potential growth accounts for True Value Manufacturing. Conduct and validate extensive market analysis in identified locations and provide relevant business solutions to increase customer sales performance. Present findings and gain adoption of such and execute market assessment plans in accordance with established timelines.
Additionally, provide customer start-up / store training and support Grand Opening activities.
CUSTOMER TRAINING: Execute effective paint training programs to customers to increase customer sales performance in customer locations including technical, project selling and strategic education in accordance with True Value Company s retail paint strategy objectives.
Keeps current on and communicates new market trends and developments.
Attends industry shows.
LOCAL EVENTS: Promote and support customer participation in Regional Advertisement events through assistance in placing ads and ensuring participating customers are well-stocked and staffed to support the event. Collaborate with internal support functions to ensure successful selling.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor Degree
A minimum of 3 years of consultative sales experience
Knowledge of coatings industry required
PDRA Training Certification preferred
Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Familiarity with P&L statements; balance sheets; retail operations
Ability to work independently
Problem solving and time management skills
Strong sales, presentation and communication skills Valid driver's license (good driving record)
Ability to travel extensively (80 - 100%)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
