Estimator - Inside Sales
We are currently seeking to fill an entry level position in the Estimating Department of our growing Mechanical Construction Company.
A college degree in Engineering or Business is required for this position.
Responsibilities:
Perform duct and fitting takeoffs of HVAC systems
Clearly define scope of projects and predict, as accurately as possible their completed construction costs
Aid sales staff in preparing proposals and requesting equipment quotes
Attend project walkthroughs and ascertain potential difficulties
Important Qualities:
Prior experience is not required
Ability to read and understand architectural plans
Fluent in Microsoft Word and Excel
Relate well with many personality types; work well in teams
Calm under pressure, able to multitask and meet deadlines
Extremely thorough and detail oriented
Aptitude in sales and negotiating
Technically and mechanically inclined
Accountable - takes ownership of work and mistakes made
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
