Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and friendly experience - Answer phone calls and schedule appointments - Verify insurance coverage and collect patient information - Maintain patient records and update medical history - Collect payments after treatment, perform dental billing and coding entry - Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality - Coordinate with dental providers and other staff members to ensure smooth operations - Manage office supplies and inventory Skills:
- Previous experience working in a dental office or as a dental receptionist - Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide excellent patient service - Proficiency in using the dental office management system Dentrix - Knowledge of dental records management and dental scheduling procedures - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements - Understanding of basic terminology related to dental procedures Note:
